Spaces Built
to Live In & Look At
Remodeling, metalwork, woodwork, tiling and built-in sculptural design — Dustin works the art into the space itself, from a fireplace surround to a whole room.
Where the Art Meets the Architecture
Dustin's work is a sculpture on its own, but when it is put together it creates an immersive space. Drawing on 25+ years across metal, wood, and mixed media and the hands-on building behind Raven's Retreat Hocking Hills, he designs and fabricates custom features and full remodels where the sculpture and the structure are one and the same.
Every project starts with the same honest conversation as a commission: your space, your vision, your timeline, and your budget. From there Dustin designs, builds, and installs — with you talking directly to the artist from start to finish.
What I Create
Architectural Metalwork
Fireplace surrounds, railings, gates, and structural features fabricated in steel and mixed metal.
Built-In Sculpture
Sculptural elements designed into the room — walls, mantels, columns, and focal features made part of the build.
Custom Light Fixtures
One-of-a-kind sconces, pendants, and statement lighting that double as art.
Remodels & Design-Build
Full room and outdoor-space transformations, designed and built by hand — the way the Raven's Retreat lodge and bungalows were.
Outdoor Installations
Large-scale steel and reclaimed-material pieces sited for gardens, entries, and public spaces.
Reclaimed & Recycled Materials
Wherever it fits, work that carries a story before the artist ever touches it.
A Few Installed Pieces
Architectural and fixture work already living in real spaces.

Have a Space in Mind?
Whether it's a single feature or a full remodel, it starts with a conversation about what's possible.
Start Your ProjectPlanning your project
A few answers to help you take the next step.
What can be integrated into my space?
Examples include fireplace surrounds, railings, gates, sculptural built-ins, custom lighting and outdoor installations. The design starts with the room or site rather than a standalone object.
What should I bring to the first conversation?
Describe the space, your vision, timing and budget. Photos and approximate dimensions help explain the setting. Discuss installation and coordination with any other trades as part of the proposal.
Where can I see examples?
The portfolio includes metal fireplace features, sculptural lighting, custom wood pieces and interiors at Raven’s Retreat.
